December 2010 was a typical December. As you can see from the chart above, the end of the year brought a softening to Listings as well as sales. This is typical as the weather is at the years worst and people are on holidays. This is not a realisticmonth to gauge the market in general. Quite different however from the unique December of 2009 that had the Olympics on its horizon.
2011 Vancouver Condo Forecast:
My forecast for 2011 is that there will be a relatively stable market with no fluctuationbeyond possibly 5% up or down in Value.
My suggestions to Buyers is to start getting serious their searches now while the amount of Listings and other Buyer competition is low before the spring market begins.
