May 2011 was an interesting month in the Downtown Vancouver & West Side condo market. There were slightly more Listings come to market & slightly less Sales than through the month of April 2011. However there were Still multiple offers commonly taking place on unique properties throughout the city. The fact that thereare still these multiple offers taking place is a clear indication of the markets current strength.
As we come into the heart of summer, I believe that the unique properties will continue to be a hot commodity (as usual) even if listing numbers began to climb. As summer is typically the busiest time of year in the cycle, as usual the number of Buyers will continue to grow and the current balanced market will again turn into a full fledged Buyers market.
